Well today is the Fourth of July and we celebrate with barbecues, fireworks, and concerts. Chitownstarconnections would also like to do a tribute to the actors and actresses who have played the Chief Executive on the big and small screens. We might even surprise you with what we have found.
The most famous portrayal of the President is Martin Sheen’s Josiah Bartlett on The West Wing. Bartlett showed that the Chief Executive had a human side and a business side. It was created by the producer of HBO’s new drama,”The Newsroom” , Aaron Sorkin .

William DeVane was a long running character on “Knots Landing” with political aspirations. Here he played John F Kennedy in “The Missiles of October” about the Cuban missile crisis.

Jack Nicholson showed the President’s funny side in “Mars Attacks” His President had to deal with terrorizing aliens.

Bill Pullman played the President in “Independence Day”
Hal Holbrook , television and theatre actor portrayed the sixteenth President , Abraham Lincoln . He is also known for portraying Mark Twain.
Harrison Ford takes command in “Air Force One”
