On February 11, 1969 a baby girl was born to John and Nancy Aniston . Jennifer Joanna Aniston was born in Sherman Oaks , California. Wanting to following in her father’s footsteps, Jen went to high school in New York at the school made famous by the movie FAME , the High School of Fine and Performing Arts. Jen also demonstrated her artistic talent by having some of her artwork hang in the Met in NY. She knew that she would be an artist, and one of her teachers had even said that she would make her living as a comedian. How right they were!

After graduation, she began to get small acting roles and work as a telemarketer and waitress. Only experiencing moderate success in New York, she headed West to where fame and fortune awaited.

Next she had guest starring roles in such series as “Herman’s Head” and “Quantum Leap.” Jen was starting to make waves in Hollywood and got cast in a lot of short lived television series like “Ferris Bueller” as Jeanie, Ferris ‘s terrorizing older sister.
But it wasn’t until 1994, when Jen auditioned for the role of broke little rich girl Rachel Green on FRIENDS . We rooted for her to make it on her own and fall in love. Jen and her five costars became a household name and her hair “The Rachel” was the hairstyle that everyone wanted.
